Who we are

The Tsitsi Foundation is a grassroots not for profit charitable company empowering women in rural Zimbabwe by supporting traditional craft-making and clean water access. Through the sale of handwoven baskets and artisan goods in Australia, we provide sustainable income for female weavers and fund life-changing water projects in their communities. Every product tells a story of resilience, dignity, and hope. Named for the strong women who inspired it, Tsitsi is driven by a belief in practical giving, cultural connection, and local leadership. We exist to create meaningful change —one basket, one well, and one woman at a time. Join us in making a difference.

We proudly partner with the Jafuta Foundation in Zimbabwe to co-develop long-term water solutions. Together, we are building water wells that support entire villages – improving health, opportunity, and independence for future generations.

Founded by Anastazia Uglow, Tsitsi (which means ‘compassion’ in the Shona language) is a registered not for profit in Australia.
